TATTLE TALES

Language and Literacy Clinic

OUR MISSION

Tattle Tales aims at increasing children’s ability to learn and effectively communicate with others by enriching their lives through specialized treatment and education.
We understand that families with children with disabilities face many challenges, and strive to treat families with care and compassion while educating them on the importance of speech/language and literacy in their daily lives.

CONSULTATIONS AND SCREENINGS

Better communication starts today!

We offer speech-language and literacy consultations to help parents determine if their child demonstrates any difficulties with their speech, language, or literacy skills and what steps to take. Schedule yours today, and we guarantee to provide the best information to determine if speech services are needed.

COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATIONS

Let's Test it Out!

We provide comprehensive evaluations using standardized assessments, clinical observation, and parent report to determine which areas of their speech, language, and literacy skills your child may need help with.

INDIVIDUALIZED TREATMENT

Quality Care

One to one therapy and reading tutoring sessions are provided to help improve diagnosed speech, language, or reading difficulties.  We specialize in literacy based language development, articulation therapy, reading comprehension skills, reading fluency skills, and dyslexia.

ABOUT US

We're in this together

At Tattle Tales, we focus on improving speech and language skills in young children and teens with a literacy based approach.

In addition to speech-language therapy and literacy coaching, we also offer parent/teacher/caregiver coaching to provide skilled methods of improving their child or student's speech, language, and literacy skills outside of the clinic environment.

Smiling Teenage Boy

LEARNING ENVIRONMENT IS KEY

Children and adolescents are constantly learning.  They learn at school, at home, and throughout their communities. We provide therapy sessions in a variety of environments to allow kids and teens to learn and expand their language skills in a place of comfort and ease.  We want our clients to be relaxed and focused on having fun while improving their speech, language, and literacy skills.

 WHAT IS A SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST?

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is a skilled professional that specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders of children and adults.  SLPs often work close with patients, caregivers, and doctors to improve these skills to allow for optimal communication and nutrition.
At Tattle Tales, we specialize in assessing, diagnosing and treating a broad spectrum of speech and language disorders in the pediatric population.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SPEECH AND LANGUAGE?

Many people often assume that speech and language are synonymous but did you know that they are not? Here's why..

  • Language consists of a person's ability to effectively take in information, process the information, and apply that information through speaking or writing.  Therefore, a language disorder can impact COMPREHENSION and or USE of spoken or written language.

  • Speech consists of a person's ability to PRODUCE spoken language that can be understood by others.

VIRTUAL THERAPY AND COACHING

COVID-19 has changed all of our lives and in order to better suit various needs we now offer virtual therapy and tutoring options.  Our virtual options are great for those parents who feel their child needs more support with their learning with certified SLPs and veteran teachers.
